Opteck Review of Trading Platform

A demo platform is generally provided by all trading software vendors in the mainstream markets so it is to be welcomed that Opteck have gone down this route. Offering a demo is a risk to Opteck as an aspiring trader may well have a go with dummy money and decide they don't fancy it, i.e. they lose. It is difficult to assess the profit margin of the demo platform as opposed to the real money platform, i.e. profit margins on the demo account are likely to be reduced in order to not put the client off, but nevertheless, having some experience of the real money platform prior to trading with real money has to be of great benefit.
